A Flavorful Culinary Journey

Hungry On My Mind—a kitchen diary seasoned by my adventures and eccentric personality. Here, we’re not just dishing out recipes; we're serving up a slice of life, using stories, inspirations, and a pinch of creativity for that extra hint of spice.
Growing up in Newark, New Jersey, I was raised on all
of the Northeast staples like: pizza, bagels, deli
sandwiches. Along with the hidden Jersey gems: Taylor
Ham, Italian hot dogs, Disco Fries, and Rutger’s famous
“Fat Sandwiches”.
My pallet would take quite the journey in the coming years thanks to my love for travel and a bit of inspiration from TV chefs who made me crave for food from far-off places just by watching them, like Guy Fieri, Andrew Zimmerman, Adam Richman, and the legendary Anthony Bourdain. Their adventures opened my eyes to a world of flavors, sparking my passion for exploring new tastes and cooking styles.
But, still...why all this?!? Well it’s not all about cooking for me, rather it’s my favorite and most delicious outlet for creation. During a time when I found myself searching for direction, I decided to cook up something special ;)—my very own creative hub. Hungry On My Mind became my passion project, a canvas where I could mix my love for food, writing, music, photography, and film. It's my own little playground where I can cook, capture, and create.
At Hungry On My Mind, I’m all about sharing the fun my experimentations with the world in a space where recipes aren’t just about measurements; they're about stories—like that time I tried to recreate my grandma's broccoli cheddar cornbread recipe and ended up with every kids broccoli nightmare that tasted nothing like hers!
So, that’s why I started this blog. I wanted to bring people together who share a love for good food and a sense of culinary adventure. I’m hoping to create a cozy spot on the internet where we can swap recipes, chat about flavors, and maybe even discover some new culinary tricks together. It's about embracing my passions and sharing the love for creating good food and great memories.
Join me on this tasty adventure at Hungry On My Mind! Let’s cook up some magical meals, share some laughs, and create a community where food is not just about filling our guts but maybe also filling our hearts a bit. After all, good food is best enjoyed when shared, right?

However, with Southern/Soul Food roots my family
could cook up some seriously delicious food all by
themselves. Those holiday feasts are always the
highlight of the culinary year, with recipes passed
down through generations—making my taste buds
dance just think about it. Its about all those childhood memories, the laughter, and the love that help season each dish.
